Scribbr is an EdTech scale-up based in The Netherlands. They provide content, tools, and services to help students achieve academic success. The platform has millions of visitors on their Knowledge Base. The key challenge for Scribbr was to let users convert from free resources to paid services.

 

The solution

In order to understand the business, we started with a deep dive into the team and analytics. Scribbr already had defined Objectives and Key Results, so the goal of what our experimentation program should contribute was clear from the start. However, we faced some difficulties with interpreting the data since we were facing the limitations of the free plan of Google Analytics: sampled data and no accurate overview of different segments. We started with a granular implementation of a new product analytics tool and kickstarted a new experimentation program in order to reach the goals of the year.

 

Results

Experimentation led to improved user experience and new learnings. Together with a Head Of Marketing and a Front-End Developer we were running weekly sprints to increase the ability to learn from the users. In total we have run more than 25 experiments from who have turned 3 into a significant improvement.
