Founda is a Dutch start-up that enables healthcare to innovate by integrating new eHealth solutions into healthcare IT-systems. The platform focuses on the interoperability between systems and transferring patient data in a safe way. And with systems working together smoothly, health professionals are freed from administrative burden, allowing them to focus on delivering care.
The solution
We started our engagement with a business model canvas workshop, collecting all assumptions and prioritizing them based on importance and evidence. We also mapped the complex buyer network within Hospitals. This created insight in how buying decisions are made and what roles the people involved have. We learned that each role has unique problems and needs. To improve upon Founda’s technical-oriented proposition we used the value proposition canvas to shape new value propositions tailored for each role. The most risky assumptions from Founda’s business model and customer where validated through experimentation. During bi-weekly growth meetings we designed experiments, analyzed results and discussed how to implement learnings.
Results
During our collaboration we trained the team on using the key principles of the lean startup method: build, measure, learn. Fail quickly and iterate. We taught the team to think in assumptions and hypothesis, design experiments, introduced bi-weekly growth sprints and setup Airtable to keep track of experiment progress and share learnings.
‘Great collaboration, thinking outside of the box, great guiding in getting a growth mindset in the company.’
